The International Association of
Project and Program Management (IAPPM) presents
an opportunity for all individuals to become a
member and participate in the Association!
Applicants for the grades of Member,
Associate and Fellow must satisfy the Association
that they possess the Core Body of Knowledge.
This can be demonstrated by:
having acquired an appropriate combination of
recognized educational qualifications,
having acquired practical experience in Project
Management and,
having been actively engaged in Project Management
(or having obtained a recognized qualification
in Project Management) within the 6 months immediately
prior to the date of application.
Admission to the grade of Member,
Associate and Fellow
is based on the Qualification Level, plus the
period of relevant experience. The following
table shows the required combinations of Qualification
Level and relevant experience.

Previous Experience
For the purpose of evaluating whether
the IAPPM's experience requirements are satisfied
applicants are required to provide evidence of
their experience in Project Management, including
any of the following activities:
(a)
Analysis and design of
projects;
(b)
Systems analysis and design;
(c)
Project estimation and
accounting;
(d)
Information systems strategic
planning;
(e)
Evaluation of technologies;
(f)
Risk identification and
mitigation ;
(g)
Project deployment;
(h)
Project research and development;
(i)
Project standards development;
(j)
Project quality assurance;
(k)
Auditing of projects or
programs;
(l)
Adherence to methodologies;
(m)
Resource management;
(n)
Integration management;
(o)
Pre and post project support;
(p)
Design and implementation
of computer-based training material;
(q)
Training of students,
staff and users in project management;
(r)
Supervision and management
of any of the above;
(s)
Other relevant professional
activities (please specify).
In all cases only full-time involvement
in appropriate Project Management activities is considered,
and written verification is needed from your nominated
referral /employer. The IAPPM must be satisfied that the
experience is of suitable quality as well as being in
suitable job classifications.
